Frequently Asked Questions

What are the services that you offer?

I offer individual one-on-one psychotherapy sessions for adults, ages 18 years and up. My services are available to any individual regardless of race, ethnic origin, religion, gender, disability, or sexual orientation.

What are your fees and methods of payment?

Individual sessions are 60 minutes in length and $150 per session. Payment is due at the end of each session by cash, check, or credit card.

How long are the sessions?

Sessions are 1-hour long.

What are your hours?

My current hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Evenings and weekends by appointment.

Do you offer free consultations?

Yes. Complimentary 15-minute phone or in-person consultation sessions are available upon request.

Do I need a referral?

No. Clients may refer themselves to me, or I also accept referrals by family physicians or other health professionals.

How do I schedule appointments?

You can schedule an appointment by phone (612-354-9101), email (admin@oakarbortherapy.com), or through the form on my Contact page (oakarbortherapy.com). I will respond to all inquiries within two business days.

What is your cancellation policy?

A notice of at least 24 hours is required for all cancellations or rescheduled sessions. A charge of $100 will be made for last minute (under 24 hours) cancellations and no shows.

Are your services tax deductible?

My services are considered an authorized medical expense by the IRS and are fully deductible as a medical tax deduction on your annual tax return.
